

Judith Marianna Stewart, age 80, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee passed away Friday, October 2, 2020. She was born Sunday, December 24, 1939 in Washington, Missouri and is preceded in death by her parents, Edward L. Niebruegge and Marion K. Niebruegge; husband, Travis M. Stewart; brother, Charles L. “Denny” Niebruegge; sister, Dolly A. Pounds; son, Nicky T. Stewart; grandson, Brandon T. Stewart.
“Judy” had a great love of family and dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a selfless homemaker nurturing her family. Judy was a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years and also led a Brownie troop. She enjoyed a 30 year career working for the State of Tennessee and was active in the Adult Literacy Project. Judy cherished any occasion to be with loved ones making memories.
A longtime member of St. James the Less Episcopal Church, she served in many areas of the church, especially as Chair of the Altar Guild and as Wedding Coordinator. Judy loved her Savior, Jesus Christ and her church family dearly.
Judy is survived by her sons, Christopher D. (Debbie) Stewart, Daniel E. (Leisa) Stewart; daughter, Patricia M. Johnson; daughter-in-law, V. Susan Stewart; brothers, Ronald C. (Joan) Niebruegge, Edward L. (Penny) Niebruegge; sister-in-law, Connie J. Niebruegge; grandchildren, Christopher “Darrell” (Jessica) Stewart, Thomas E. (Bethany) Stewart, Pricilla M. Stewart, Ashton T. (Amber) Stewart, Bradley M. (Brittney) Stewart, Aaron S. Johnson, Luke M. (Alex) Johnson and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life and Thanksgiving will be conducted at 10:30am Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in the sanctuary of St. James the Less Episcopal Church with Rev. Wesley Arning as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens located at 1150 S. Dickerson Pike, Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be the grandsons, Darrell Stewart, Tommy Stewart, Ashton Stewart, Bradley Stewart, Aaron Johnson, and Luke Johnson.
Family and close friends will gather to remember Judy at a visitation Wednesday, October 7, 2020 prior to the service from 9:30am until 10:30am in the church sanctuary and/or parish hall located at 411 W. Due West Ave, Madison, Tennessee.
