Judy was an artist, entrepreneur, publisher, advisor, caterer, performer, good friend and mentor to many. She led a well-lived life, full of love. She embraced everyone she met, spreading the message of joy and unconditional love. She studied scenic design and theater at Bard College, married the love of her life, Danny Winchell, and raised a family. In NY they lived in Brooklyn, Riverdale, the Catskill Mountains, moved to Solana Beach, California, L.A., and later Nashville, TN. Judy published Panorama Magazine in NY, and popular travel brochures In & Around San Diego, Baja, LA, Nashville, & Tennessee. She co-hosted the Danny Winchell radio shows in the Catskills and Nashville, and produced her own “Journey Into Joy” broadcasts. Judy co-created and performed fractured fairy tales at Nashville’s historic Belcourt Theatre with the Olde Worlde Theatre Company. Everything she did was with gusto, focus and intention, including her Thursday evening women’s empowerment group, W.I.N.G.S.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nashville Dolphins, a non-profit organization providing free aquatic programming to people with disabilities.
Judy did indeed, lead a magical life. Read more of Judy’s insights at www.judywinchell.com.
