Kevin Michael Shaw

Kevin Michael Shaw unexpectedly and tragically passed away at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville following a car accident. He was born on August 21, 1972, in Toledo, Ohio the son of Rex J Shaw, Jr (Skip) and Judith A (Lynch) Shaw.

Kevin graduated from Western High School, Class of 1990. Following graduation, he traveled spending time in Colorado and eventually landing in Asheville, North Carolina where he began his flooring business and ultimately became a Construction Superintendent. He later moved his family to Nashville, TN. He has raised two beautiful children that were the center of his entire life. Kevin loved coaching his son’s baseball team and doing everything and anything with his daughter. He was a true family man that lit up every room he walked into with his brilliant smile and great sense of humor. He loved the outdoors and lived to help others.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Hadleigh Shaw (19), his son Leland Shaw (12), his brother Brendan (Kristi) Shaw & family, sister Erin Shaw-Harrel & family, and Casey (Bill) Green & family. He was loved by nine nieces and nephews, countless aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, and friends far and near.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 Dickerson Rd, Goodlettsville, TN 37072 on Thursday, June 1st from 5:00-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 2nd at 10:30 am at Long Hollow Church, 3031 Long Hollow Pike, Hendersonville, TN 37075. All are welcome to attend and pay respects to our beloved, Kevvy! He will be sorely missed!
