

Rev. Lillian Pearl Fuller Shaw, 101, was born Saturday, October 30, 1915 in Nashville, Tn. She departed this life Monday, February 6, 2017 while a resident of Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN.
Lillian was preceded in death by her father, Walter B. Williams Sr. and mother, Nellie Mae Cato Williams; two sisters, Lucille Parkhurst and Mae S. Shearon; 3 brothers Walter B. Williams Jr., J. V. Williams, and Winfred D. Williams; nephew Melvin Parkhurst and step daughter Lucy C. Shaw. She was married to Earl Fuller. A few years after his death she married Rev. S. M. Shaw.
She is survived by her brother Douglas H. Williams, nephew Calvin Parkhurst and wife Dot; niece by marriage, Linda Parkurst; step children: Paul Fuller, David Shaw and wife Kathy, and Rebecca Wells. She was blessed with many nieces, nephews, and other step grandchildren.
Lillian was saved at age 19 and called to preach in that brush arbor meeting. She attended Trevecca Nazarene College. In 1951 she was ordained as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene. She pastored 5 Nazarene churches. Her special ministry was conducting Vacation Bible Schools which she enhanced through professional ventriloquism and puppeteering. She served the East Tn. District Church of the Nazarene as Children’s Director and vice president of the Nazarene World Mission Society for 20 plus years. Oil and water color painting added joy to her retirement years.
God blessed Lillian with a long and healthy life of 101 years. She ministered to thousands of people. Many have testified they were saved at an early age in one of her Vacation Bible Schools. Her life and influence for God will live on for many many years! That's just the way she would want to be remembered.
A Celebration of Life for Rev. Lillian Pearl Fuller Shaw will be held Friday Febbruary 10, 2017 at Forrest Lawn Funeral Home in Goodlettsville, TN at 1:00 with Rev. Jack Galloway and Rev. Richard Reed officiating. Her family will receive friends from 10:00 AM till 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Forrest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
