Marcelle Christine Carter, a beloved and devoted resident of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on February 18, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on May 23, 1930, Marcelle was known for being a kind-hearted, faithful, and hard-working individual.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Vaughn, her mother, Marcelle Vaughn, her husband, Clarence Eugene Carter, and several of her children: Bonnie Williamson, Dinah Smith, Becky Sexton, Brenda Moore, and Buster Carter. Marcelle is survived by her son, Albert Carter, and her daughters, Janet Olin, Dorothy Murphy, and Jackie Carter.
Marcelle was deeply involved in her community, owning and operating Carter's Home for individuals with developmental disabilities for 40 years. Her commitment to the community and her family was unwavering, and she will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on February 24th from 12-2PM. A funeral service will follow the visitation, starting at 2PM. Burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial gardens immediately after the service.
