

Merton was born on April 26, 1926, in Farmersville, NY. He resided in NY for some 81 years. His laughter, witty humor and gentleness will be remembered with fondness. Mert and his twin brother, Franklin relocated to Tennessee in November of 2006 to reside with Franklin’s children and enjoy the warmer climates. Although an Uncle, he was thought of as a “second” Dad. A lifetime truck driver and co-owner of Napoleon Taxi in Olean, NY, Merton loved providing a “always on call” service to his many friends and clients. Mert is survived by his daughter, Patricia Moser and her husband, Gary of Indiana, PA; two grandchildren, Jennifer Livingston and Bradley Astolos of Indiana, PA; his brother, Floyd Greene of Franklinville, NY, and two great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Special consideration is given to nieces Sandy Bish and her husband David, Hendersonville, TN, Sherry Simpson and her husband Bill, Hendersonville, TN, Sheila Cantarutti, and her husband Ralph, Goodlettesville, TN, Susan Harbin, Goodlettesville, TN; Nephews Jeff Greene and Pam, Madison, TN and Michael Greene of Hendersonville, TN, for their dedication and support to their Uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merton and Genevieve; Twin Brother Franklin (Feb. 2011); Sisters Marjorie, Thelma, Virginia, Thelda and Vera. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 3rd in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm, with visitation 2 hours prior to service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
