Richard Wayne Allen, age 87 passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. He was born Friday, January 31, 1936 in Nashville, Tennessee. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Omel Belverage and Nancy Etta Myatt Allen; daughter, Lee Ann Goodwin Buckner; spouses, Nancy C. Bush Allen and Bonnie Gilbert Allen and partner, Dottie Dillard.
A graduate of Hume-Fogg and a Veteran of the US Navy, Richard enjoyed playing football in high school; softball until he was 81, golf and Karaoke.
Richard is survived by his children, Kelly Allen-Mozzi and her husband Paul, Richard P. Allen and his wife Mary, Margaret B. Allen and her fiance Jeff Turner. Grandchildren, Rebecca, Joseph, Kyle, Ryan, Lillian, Heath, Jamie, Emily, Jessica, Gabriel, Summit; great-grandchildren, Southerlynn, Liam, Ryleigh, Liam, and Marit.
A visitation for Richard will be held Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, January 8, 2024 at 12:00 PM. in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Garden of The Last Supper in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
