Shirley H. Cooper, 82, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017. Born Sunday, September 23, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan and is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Baker Hickman and L. L. Hickman; brother, Donald and husband Wendall.
She became a resident in Tennessee, graduated from Haylong High School in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee in 1952 and married Wendall H. Cooper in 1954. She is survived by her brother, Pat Hickman; nieces, Janice (Mike) Mabry, Sandra (Fred) Selle, Sheila Byrd, Lynn (Paul) Keltner, Mindy DeBord, Kim Jaeger, Jenny (Joe) Pewitt and Rebecca Cooper; nephew, Curtis Stewart and several great nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading and traveling with her husband. “Aunt Shirley" loved her friends, her family, her church, and her Lord, and she will be missed.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 12:00 until 1:00 with services at 1:00 with Bro. Jim Olive officiating at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 S. Dickerson Pk. Goodlettsville, TN. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
