Chip, as he was known to family and friends, was born on May 16, 1954, in Augusta, Georgia to the late Major Vance Carlton Batts, Sr., and Gloria Gail (“Ann”) Batts.
He is survived by his sister, Paula Batts Appleby, Old Hickory, TN, brothers, Kevin Batts (Debbie), Mt. Juliet, TN, Wayne Batts (Sharon), Fairview, TN, and sister, Kelly (Batts) Paddack Bilbrey, of Chattanooga, TN, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation and service will be private.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Forrest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 Dickerson Rd., Nashville, TN 37072.
