

William "Bill" H. Lamb, 84 passed away on September 15, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born on March 10, 1932 in Rutherford County to Donald and Myrtle Lamb. He graduated from Dupont High School in 1950. He was in the Army from 1952-1954 and served in the Korean War during that time.
On April 21, 1956 he married Carolyn Walker of Madison, TN and they had 2 children. They attended Rivergate Church of Christ where he served as a deacon for many years. He was employed by Fleming in Goodlettsville, TN until he retired in 1996. Bill was a great husband, father, papa, uncle, brother, and friend.
Preceded in death by parents Donald and Myrtle Lamb, wife Carolyn Walker Lamb and brother Donald Lamb. Survived by Daughter: Billie Buttrey, Son: John Lamb, 2 grandchildren: Carol (Terry) Morris and William Herman, 3 great grandchildren: Tyler, Colin and Tenley Morris, 2 great great grandchildren: Aubree and Chevy and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Forest Lawn Chapel with Andy Spillers officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday 12 until service. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Steve Heckathorn, Glenn Heckathorn, Dusty Heckathorn, Terry Morris, Tyler Morris, and Colin Morris. Honorary pallbearers are the deacons and elders of Rivergate Church of Christ.
