

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio Isidor Alvillar, 80, of Surprise, AZ, who died on January 19, 2025. Antonio was born on May 15, 1944, in Anthony, New Mexico, to Antonio Alvillar and Maria Moreno. He was raised in Tolleson, AZ, and throughout his life, he displayed a deep commitment to his family, his country, and his passions.
Antonio proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he fought in combat with courage and honor. After his military service, he transitioned into a successful career as an electrician, where his expertise and hard work earned him the respect of his colleagues and community.
A man of incredible vitality, Antonio had an undeniable zest for life. He loved the freedom of riding motorcycles and found joy in every adventure. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his love for his family and the moments they shared together.
Antonio is survived by his daughter, Diana C. Ulrich, his son, Antonio M. Alvillar, and his siblings: Lupe Loar, Linda Salais, and Robert Alvillar. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry his memory with them.
A visitation for Antonio will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear, Arizona 85338. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM, 926 S. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear, Arizona 85338. A burial will occur Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85024.
Antonio’s legacy of love, service, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Rest in peace, Antonio. You will be deeply missed.
