Carl grew up in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and left home at a young age, driven by big dreams and a deep determination to succeed. He became a father at 20, which only strengthened his motivation to build a good life for his family. Throughout his life, Carl was known for his intelligence, organization, loyalty, and unwavering dedication. He was the one people turned to for answers. He was always willing to help with advice, home projects, or work-related challenges. He truly could do anything.
Though Carl worked hard, he always made time for what mattered most: his family and the ocean. He cherished traveling and dreamed of returning to the ocean with his boat in retirement. His love for the sea was constant, as was his love for his family.
Carl found joy in many simple pleasures, including grilling, reading his Bible, reconnecting with childhood friends and family in Rhode Island, and spending time by the shore. Above all, he adored his wife, Helen Chen, the love of his life. He was a proud and devoted father and considered being a grandfather his greatest title. He also held deep affection for his mother-in-law, whom he lovingly called his angel.
Carl is survived by his wife, Binglin Helen Chen; his daughters Heather (Lallier) Dawkins and her husband Jerome, Cassie Chen, and Jessica Paparian; his son, Carl Lallier Jr.; and his cherished grandchildren: Nyasia Price, Darien Price, Jadha Dawkins, Liana Dawkins, Jaheim Dawkins, and Gavin Lallier. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila (Lallier) Lokitis.
A visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear, Arizona. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m.
In honor of Carl’s lifelong commitment to helping others, the family suggests that donations be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
