Cooper was a bright and joyful soul, known for his infectious smile and zest for life. From an early age, he was full of energy, always on the move—riding bikes, playing baseball, swimming in the family pool, and spending countless hours with his dog Buddy. He had a special bond with his little brother, Taylor, and together they shared countless adventures. Cooper grew up on the family’s five-acre property, where he nurtured his love of the outdoors and developed a deep passion for working with his hands. His creativity shone through in his love for building, often using old antiques to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind furniture pieces.
A graduate of Mitchell South Dakota Senior High School, Cooper had a lifelong love of music that defined much of his life. Whether he was playing his guitar or simply enjoying tunes from one of his favorite bands, like Pink Floyd, music was always a part of him. Cooper was a hardworking individual, dedicating 25 years to his career as a Door Tech and Salesman in South Dakota and Arizona. No matter where life took him, he would always return to South Dakota to help family and friends with projects, demonstrating his unwavering love and devotion.
Cooper’s greatest joy in life came from his four children: daughter Dakota Baldwin and sons Phoenix, Elijah, and Elliot Baldwin. His love for them was boundless, and he took immense pride in being their father. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and they will forever carry his spirit in their hearts.
In addition to his children, Cooper is survived by his brother Taylor Baldwin, his parents Brian and Heidi Baldwin, his grandmother Alberta Baldwin, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Cooper, you will be deeply missed. Your smile, your laughter, and your love for life will never be forgotten. You will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew you.
We love you, Cooper.
