

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Delmar Lester Scott, age 85, of Goodyear, Arizona. Del passed away peacefully on June 12, 2024 in Goodyear, Arizona. He was born on November 26, 1938 in Wendell, Idaho to Floyd and Vera Scott.
Delmar is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Marilyn Renee Scott, and his beloved daughters: Sharon Smyth and Valerie Anderson. He also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Brittany Smyth, Trevor Smyth, RJ Anderson, Ryan Anderson, and Joshua Anderson, as well as one great-grandson, Henry Noble Smyth.
Del grew up in Brisbane, California where he attended Brisbane Elementary School and Jefferson High School in Daly City. He furthered his education at San Francisco State University. Del served his country with honor in the United States Navy, stationed in San Diego.
A skilled printer by trade, Del was the owner and operator of Delmar Graphics, Inc. Most recently, his business printed the racing programs for Golden Gate Fields in Albany, California. Known for his kindness, generosity, loyalty, and love, Del touched the lives of all who knew him. He was the go-to person for fixing anything and was always available to help those in need. Del's proudest accomplishments were his children, his family, and his business.
Del had a passion for golf, travel, and sports. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Golden State Warriors. He also enjoyed going to plays, musicals, and movies.
Delmar Lester Scott will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who loved him dearly and will forever treasure the memories of his kind spirit and loving heart. May he rest in peace.
