Ellen Louise Kohrt

Ellen L. Kohrt of Buckeye, Arizona passed away June 2, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 70. She was born August 30, 1953 in Fairfield, California to the late Wilbur Alden Ladd and Mabel Maxine Ladd. She was also preceded in death by her sister Connie Harkema.

Ellen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for her intense love of her family and for the best biscuits and gravy. She supported her husband as a military spouse for 31 of their 52-year marriage. Ellen was also a 12-year survivor of two lung transplants.

Ellen is survived by her beloved husband Michael J. Kohrt, daughter Tracy (Steven) Conn, son Michael John (Stephany) Kohrt, and her sisters Kathleen Jones, Diana Ladd, and Barbara Vermy. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren: Ashley Lynn (Johnathan) Babcock, Mackenzie Dawn, Dalton Andrew, Kaela Eileen (Mitchell) Krafft, Isabella Grace Kohrt and her husband Dylan Hartman, Emerson Hope, Lillian Rose, Nicholas Scott, Hunter Key, Gavin John, Olivia Jayde, and Elliana Lonnie.

A funeral service is being planned for December 7, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona.
