Fred Williams Sr.

Mr. Fred Williams Sr., resident of Buckeye, Arizona, passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 83. He was born on May 28, 1942, in Robinsonville, Mississippi, to Fred Williams Sr. and Vernice Quall, as well as his stepfather, J.B. Qualls.

Fred received his high school diploma and went on to serve in the United States Army. Fred was the proud owner of an Auto Repair Shop, a Hardware Store, Freiman's Construction Company, and was a Ride Share Provider. Fred also had the pleasure and experience of working side by Richard Rountree, Lou Rawls, and Fred Williamson.

Fred and Phyliss married on June 3, 2002. They enjoyed many years together in Chicago before relocating to Buckeye, Arizona, where they continued to enjoy life.

He is survived by his wife Phyliss A. Williams, his daughter Barbara Cox, sons Fred Williams (Ricco), Derek Williams (Top Wealth), and stepson Saul Brown. He also leaves behind his sisters Shirley and McCullough and Venietrice Cooperwood, and his brothers John Qualls and McKinley Williams.

Fred was preceded in death by his mother Vernice, father Fred Sr., and stepfather JB Qualls, as well as his sons Anthony Williams (Tony) and Frederick Williams. He was also predeceased by his siblings Malcom, Iola, Lula, Tommie, Kelly, Dwain, Steven, and Allan.

A visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Chapel, located at 926 S. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear, Arizona, 85338, on February 27, 2026, starting at 4:00 pm.
