Helen Marie Stephenson

Helen Marie Stephenson, 79, formerly of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Wednesday April 16, 2025, at her home in Buckeye, Arizona. She was born August 17, 1945, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Floyd Bohannon and Helen Romona (Douglas) Bohannon. She married Michael Oliver Stephenson on July 6, 1963, in Carson, California, Michael proceeded her in death on September 6, 2016.

Survivors include two brothers, Floyd Bohannon of Carona, California, Glen (Lorrie) Bohannon of Silverlake, Washington; one Daughter Kim (Tom) Marshall of Glendale, Arizona; one Son Michael (Jennifer) Stephenson of Fullerton California; five grandchildren, Sarah Pennington, Colleen Bell, Ty Mitchell, Olivia Stephenson, and Emily Stephenson; four great grandchildren, Kennedy Pennington, Scott Pennington, Rayann Calvert, and Helen Bell.

Helen was a devoted wife to Michael for 53 years. She worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement in 2009. Michael continued to work which required him to travel outside the United States. This gave Helen the opportunity to travel and reside with Michael in places like Australia, Hawaii, and South Africa. Michael and Helen moved to Buckeye, Arizona in 2010.

Helen leaves behind a legacy of honor, integrity, kindness, generosity, and unwavering strength. Helen was a humble and devoted mother, a pillar of support for her entire family. She will be forever missed.

A visitation for Helen will be held Monday, May 5, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 PM at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 South Litchfield Road, Goodyear, Arizona 85338. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 11:30 AM, 926 South Litchfield Road, Goodyear, Arizona 85338. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85024.
