Jeffrey Edward Stauffer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Jeffrey Edward Stauffer, known as "Jeff" to all who knew and loved him. He was born on November 22, 1981 in West Chester, Pennsylvania to parents Barry and Kathy Stauffer. The family moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa, in 1995, where Jeff grew up and spent much of his life.

Jeff had a deep love for music, particularly country and rock. He played both bass and clarinet in the school band, and his passion for music was always evident. He enjoyed shooting pool & playing darts with his friends and was also an avid soccer player, starting in West Chester and continuing throughout high school in Fort Dodge.

In his free time, Jeff loved watching TV, movies (especially comedies), and playing video games. One of the most unforgettable things about Jeff was his laugh — a deep, hearty, and jovial sound that could fill a room and lift anyone’s spirits. It was the kind of laugh that made you smile just hearing it. Whether he was cracking up at a favorite comedian or sharing a joke with friends, Jeff’s laughter was pure joy, and it was contagious.

A dedicated sports fan, Jeff proudly supported his Philadelphia teams, especially the Eagles and Penn State football. He cherished his Eagles jersey and his tattoos that honored his favorite teams.

Jeff was also known for his love of comfort — a true T-shirt and shorts guy, no matter the season. It didn’t matter if it was snowing or the temperature was in the single digits; Jeff could be found in shorts, completely unbothered. It was rare to ever catch him in a pair of slacks — he loved being comfortable, and that’s just who he was.

Beyond his laid-back style and love of sports, Jeff was a kind, gentle, and loving soul. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and always stood up for the underdog.

Jeff is survived by his parents, his sister Tracy Stauffer, his brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Jill Stauffer, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will always be remembered for his compassion, his kindness and the way he treated others.

Jeff was taken from us too soon, and we miss him dearly.
