It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Stanley (Stan) West, who passed away peacefully at his home in Goodyear, Arizona, on May 17, 2026, at the age of 85.
Stan lived a remarkable life defined by kindness, service, love, and an unforgettable sense of humor. He touched countless lives through his gentle spirit, quick wit, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. To those who knew him, Stan was more than a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and neighbor — he was a source of light, laughter, and warmth. He had a unique gift for making people smile and brightening every room he entered. His humor, kindness, and ability to bring happiness to others will remain one of the many legacies he leaves behind.
Born on June 4, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, Stan proudly served his country for six years in the United States Army Reserves before embarking on a diverse and successful professional journey. During the 1970s, he practiced as a chiropractor, dedicating himself to helping others through healing and care. Later, in the 1980s, he transitioned into real estate, continuing his lifelong commitment to helping people.
In 1984, Stan and his family moved to Fountain Hills, Arizona, where he established deep roots and became a respected and familiar presence within the community. He worked as a real estate broker and agent with Erica West Realty until his retirement in 2021. His commitment to service extended far beyond his professional life. Stan proudly volunteered with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for 27 years and remained actively involved in the Fountain Hills community for more than 35 years, leaving a lasting impact through his dedication, generosity, and friendship.
Above all else, Stan was devoted to his family. Family was the center of his world, and some of his happiest moments were those spent surrounded by the people he loved. He created a legacy not only of compassion and integrity, but also of laughter, joy, and togetherness.
Stan is survived by his beloved wife, Erica; his brother, Steven Weinstein; brother-in-law, Mark Gombrich; his sons, Steve and David; daughters-in-law Dana, wife of Steve, and Cindy, wife of David; grandchildren Danielle and Shannon, daughters of Steve and Dana, and Lynn and Grant, children of David and Cindy; along with his cherished great-grandchildren.
Though our hearts are broken, we are profoundly grateful for the blessing of having had Stan in our lives. His kindness, humor, and the light he brought into the world will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts. His laughter will echo in our memories, and his light will never fade.
