

Andrea Velazquez, 84, of Kissimmee, Florida passed away on Friday January 14, 2022. Andrea was born on January 29, 1937 on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico. Her family later moved to Brooklyn New York where she graduated from high school, got married then returned to live in Puerto Rico. She retired from the Puerto Rico telephone with 20 years of service and later moved to Orlando Florida. She was active in her local church, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School for many years until she became ill. Andrea never missed an opportunity to minister to others and lead them to the Lord. She was a prayer warrior and if you needed prayer she was the one to ask. She would ring heaven's bells for sure. She will be sadly missed by all of her loved ones, and everyone who knew her.
Andrea is survived by her children,a daughter Diane Zapata (husband, Mario) of Kissimee, Florida, a son, Manfredo Zapata, Jr. (Wife, Helen) of Savannah Georgia, grandsons, Daniel A. Zapata (wife, Diane) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Joshua E. Zapata (wife, Lydia) of Charleston, South Carolina, and three great grandchildren, Elijah and Hannah Zapata of Fort Worth, Texas, and Olivia Zapata, of Charleston, SC and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of her amazing life and homegoing was held on January 24, 2022 at the funeral home with burial in the Woodlawn Memorial Park.
