

Veit, Ann Elizabeth (Walraven) (Murray), 84, of New Port Richey, Florida passed away on December 3, 2017. She was born on April 3, 1933 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Frank and Katherine (Connelly) Walraven. Ann attended St. James and graduated Bay City Central High school, played saxophone in the marching band and enjoyed activities such as swimming, boating, snowmobiling, bingo, water aerobics and visiting casinos. She loved lobster and vanilla ice cream and her grandchildrens' dog Duke. She worked in the maternity ward of Mercy Hospital, numerous retail stores and retired from apartment complex management before moving to Florida with her husband, Byron. She enjoyed sunsets from the balcony of her timeshare on Marco Island, visiting her family in Michigan and cheering for the Spartans.
She is preceded in death by: first husband, John (Jack) Murray; second husband, Byron Veit; and sisters, Mary (Erv), Peggy (Earl) Ki (Bob), and Jane (Rod). Ann is survived by: sons, John (Johann) Murray, Patrick Murray, and Byron Veit II (Eileen); daughter, Deborah Murray; sister, Joan Milbourne (Ron); and grandchildren, Wesley Murray, Katherine Veit, and Jacob Veit and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ann’s family offers special blessings to Ardis, Nancy, Sheila, Celine, Debbie, Gael, Dorothy, Elegance and all the other friends who provided prayers, comfort, support and love to Ann. At the request of Mrs. Veit, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Private inurnment will be scheduled later. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Judes"s Children's Hospital.
