She was born March 6th, 1936 to the late John & Lena (McNeil) Mercer in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
When Annie moved to Orlando at the age of 16, her sister Mamie got her a job making salads at the Orlando Country Club…and, a few years later she met her sweet husband-to-be, the late Kay Russell Moore, Sr. They built a family together in Orlando, where Annie worked her way up the ranks of the Federal Government, becoming very successful as an Accounting Technician.
She became a faithful member of the Washington Shores Church of Christ; and, cherished her time as a beloved member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Annie traveled quite a bit with the Order, along with her daughter & fellow member, Terry Ann Moore. She loved traveling with family; and, when she was home, shopping!
Annie will be dearly missed & deeply celebrated~
She is survived by her son, Kay Russell Moore, Jr.; daughters, Terry Ann Moore and Veronica D. Moore; her beloved grandchildren, Christopher Marcus Bray and Rachel LaKaye Moore; her brother, Samuel Mercer and sister, Arlene “Pee-Mercer” Ellis.
