More loving than most
Often right, even when I thought she was wrong
Truly my biggest cheerleader
Heaven welcomed her with open arms
Every day without her will be empty
Radiance has now moved on.
Our amazing Mom, Augusta Lindsay Khan, 79, of Orlando, Florida peacefully passed away in her sleep on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 6:22 am EST.
She was born to the late Samuel and Beatrice Paul in Rawalpindi, Pakistan on August 22, 1941. She married Lindsay Khan in 1967 and they lived together in Pakistan for 10 years before relocating to Dubai in 1979. Later, they relocated to Florida in 1995. She was a devoted mother who raised two sons, Lincoln and Lauriate Khan, and shared life with Lindsay for 53 years of marriage.
Augusta valued faith, family, and education. With great strength and commitment, she taught elementary school by trade, and led Sunday school at her church. She sang in the choir, and loved to care for people in her home by filling their bellies with her delicious cooking. Augusta worked hard, laughed easily, loved people, and sacrificed for them readily. Her family and friends miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her oldest sister Lena Paul, niece Juliana Massey and nephew Ivan Massey.
Augusta is survived by her husband, Lindsay Khan; sons, Lincoln Khan with spouse Zita Khan and Lauriate Khan; grandchildren Adam, Noah, Jasmine, Roger, Ashley, Ann, Sarah, Jonathan, Abrahim, Rebecca, Joshua, Linda, and Mariam.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with as well as those she reached but never met.
Please join us at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida for a Visitation on December 3rd from 5-8pm and a Celebration of Augusta’s Life on December 4th at 11:00am.
