Barry transitioned from this earth to his Forever Home in Heaven and has joined his Father Barry E. Hay, His brother CW2 Dennis P. Hay, His Nana and Bepop Benjamin Vern Hay Jr. and Dorthy Southergil Hay, long time residents of Pine Hills, In Orlando. His Grandmother, Ella Tipton of Sacramento, California and His two Uncles Benjamin Vern Hay lll and Charles (Chuck) Hay.
Barry is survived by his Mother, Patty Sue Hay-Ashcraft, His Sister, Bridgette Hay and his Only Child, Paige Hay, whom he affectionately called “Pooper” and Her Husband Ian Dooley, Paige's Mother Kelly Sims, His Step Father Robert Ashcraft, His Aunts and Uncles, Paul and Nancy Humphrey, and David and Bettie Bretchel, His nephews Jacob Hay and Xander Leimore, His nieces Abagale Hay, Sophia Maund, Constance Leimore and several cousins.
Barry Worked at the Nemours Children's Hospital Orlando and Nemours Children's Healthcare Jacksonville Florida for the last 15 years in Information Systems. He enjoyed his work and His contributions there will be missed. He established many friendships within the Nemours family, often having Super Bowl Parties and Christmas Parties in his home with them.
Barry's world outside of work was his Daughter Paige, His family, Working on His Computers, Often Playing various Video games on line, His recently acquired VR System, His Corvette, His Monte Carlo Hot Rod which he Dragged raced and worked on and His Motorcycles. He enjoyed his extensive Movie Library and Pre recorded TV shows which he continued to add to. Barry was a talented Musician playing the Keyboard, the Alto Sax and the Guitar. He was an avid fan of Bon Jovi and Van Halen. He was a long time fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars, attending many of their games and became a fan of the New Orleans Saints.
Barry was a “Genius” with computers and many relatives and friends relied on his skills to help them out when experiencing difficulties. He was kind and generous. Giving elaborate gifts to his family members often updating them with the latest technology tools.
His passing has left a huge void in our hearts that will be difficult to fill. We will miss him and long for his company and the joy he brought to our lives until we join him one day when we will all be together Forever.
