When Betty was a little girl, she lived in a boxcar temporarily. Her mama made all of her clothes and once bought her a very ugly pair of shoes that Betty threw out and Mama replaced… with the same pair. While growing up, with money not always being abundant, Betty filled her life with love. She had a bit of a wild side and was a “free spirit” in her early adulthood, and was never too afraid to stand up to anyone in order to protect those that she loved. Her proudest moments in life include giving birth to 6 children, vacationing in the mountains, and celebrating Christmas as her favorite holiday to cook and decorate for large gatherings with the family. Betty was the supervisor of a large nursery and enjoyed being the “boss lady.” She was a proud voter and prayed for her country often. Betty proudly raised her children to also have full hearts and moral integrity, much like herself.
Betty loved any and all Elvis songs, and was never afraid to stand up and sing Karaoke. She also loved to sew, draw, create flower arrangements, fish, dance, and spend as much time as possible with her family. Her family will always remember Betty as a wonderful person who enjoyed her life and made those surrounding her feel comfortable and loved, and they will never forget her unique laugh and the many stories of her life.
