

Bobby “Bob” George Alexander passed away on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2015 at the age of 83. Bob was born on November 25, 1931 and raised in Mayfield, Kentucky. He was a Korean War Veteran and was honorably discharged. He and Rita, his lovely wife, met in 1955, fell in love and were married in 1956. He graduated from Murray State University, with honors, and obtained a degree in Business Administration. Bob started his career with Bellsouth Corporation in 1958 where he worked his way up to District Manager of Operator Services. After 30 years of service, he retired from Bellsouth and went to work in real estate with Rita. Soon after, he accepted a position working as an Operations Auditor for the Glidden Paint Company, during those twelve years he and Rita passionately toured the country in their motorhome while auditing Glidden’s retail stores.
He is preceded in death by his father Otha Alexander, his mother Annie Alexander of Mayfield, Kentucky and his siblings Racine Caldwell of Sackets Harbor, New York and his brother Marvin of Fern Park, Michigan. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rita Copeland Alexander of Orlando, his son and daughter-in-law Mark & Lisa Alexander of Atlanta, Georgia, his daughter and son-in-law Anita & Mike Jackson, and his daughter and son-in-law Leigh Ann & Chris Vose of Orlando. Surviving grandchildren include Jason Alexander, Charlotte Bogdany, Judy Vose, Lydia Vose and Lilly Vose of Orlando.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 3pm – 5pm and the funeral will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 11:00am at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, located at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
