Auntie Rita was a beautiful woman full of confidence and pride she had a good heart, a woman that knows what she wants out of life and set very high standards for herself and the little circle she kept around her. She was an amazing cook the best cook I know. 

She was a woman of few words but when she speak you listen. She was a plain speaker, she tell you like it is, you never had to wonder what she was thinking. Auntie Rita keep all of us in line, we did not like it but she did not care, as a matter of fact I don’t know of any one that stand up to her.  It’s unfortunate that it had to take this for me to realize most of the time she was right and it came from a place of love. One day we were in Home Depot and she told me my backside was growing to reach the front door from the back of the store she was very serious, she know I was mad but she did not budge, by the way I just join cf fitness💪🏼

Mamma I will miss you dearly, but I know you are home in a better place, I know you are watching over us but please don’t choke me when I take Vidya home late😁

Our aunt  was caring, kind and so full of love. Some of our fondest and favorite memories are with Aunty Rita. Words cannot express how much she meant to us. Her sister, Shanta, will cherish her memory and  while it is with complete sorrow that we write this, we will find peace in knowing that she is resting with God. Her warm smile and beautiful laugh will never leave our hearts.  

Mom your life was not easy, you were a living example of someone who did the best with what life handed you. No one and nothing can fill the void created by the loss of our dear mother. Sad tears of pain will be remembered forever mom. Losing you is not easy, but knowing that we have been able to share the love and memorable moments in your life before you went to rest in eternal salvation is very comforting to us. Those memories will live on forever in our hearts. Love you always mom.

I have so many memories of Aunty Rita and her family, with my family growing up next door to them for decades before we all left Guyana.  She and her family have been a part of my parent’s lives and my brothers and sisters lives for a long time. They were like an extended family to us and we have many, many shared memories that could fill the pages of a book. I always remember how for many years, Aunty Rita would come over late every Christmas Eve night and bake our “Sponge Cake” for us. It always came out perfect!
To Ena, Vidya, Uncle Cyril and the boys, I offer our deepest condolences .Let the memories of her keep you going. Only time and these memories will help to ease the pain you feel now!

She was always a kind and loving person since I knew her while she lived at Delph st. Cambellville. I do remember my visits to her in those days...we will spend lots of time chatting about Sai Baba and life in general...her motto was...Live Good....and she did live a good life...May the children follow her way of life...am fully aware that her son Ronald ( Jai) is doing so. For persons like her Death is a paradise. Sai Ram to her.

Aunty Rita was like a grandmother and mother to AB and I.   My memories with her began since 1983... soon after I adopted her as my other mother...
She was always welcoming, her home always immaculately kept and there was always really good Guyanese  home-cooked food for whoever dropped by... Whenever!

It's hard to get used to her not being with us, but the fond memories of her kind nature will live on with us and bring comfort.

Chandrowti is survived by her husband, one sister, Shanta, five children, Ena, Ronald, Harold, Ricky and Vidya and seven grandchildren, Tracy, Munesh, Yashpal, Ariel, Shana, Rajiv and Gabriella.  She is also survived by three nieces, Gaitree, Nadira and Nalini and four nephews, Dan, Sat, Krishna and Deodat.
