Corine Deese Mattheson

Corine was born on December 23, 1928 in Fargo, Georgia to Lavader Lee Deese and Nola Lee Kirkland. She grew up in Live Oak, Florida where she graduated from Suwannee High School. She later met her husband Keith Mattheson and they married on the 4th of July. They moved to Ocoee but eventually settled in Winter Park, Florida being long time members of Killarney Baptist Church.

Corine is preceded in death by her husband Keith Mattheson, daughter Nola Frances Carpenter (Randall), parents Lavader and Nola, brother Ralph Deese, sister Edith Landen (Joe), sister Lavader Carmichael (L.H.), and brother Frank Deese (Elizabeth).

She is survived by brother Paul Deese (Diane), sister Jewel Barrington (Jimmy), granddaughter Allisha Douglas (Lee), granddaughter Tamara Carpenter, great-granddaughters Emily Douglas, Marissa Andrews, Rachel Andrews and Ashley Andrews and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Corine will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
