

Davis Gayle Sr. was a loving husband to the late Elsie Gayle, affectionately known as “Mamita”. In this marriage they raised three sons: Vincent, Davis Jr. and Mark.
As a young man in the late 1940’s Davis worked for the United Fruit Company, in the Merchandise Department. He later migrated to the US in 1962 and pursued his college degree in business administration.
For many years he worked for Irving Trust Bank and worked his way up to management. Davis eventually set his sights on the American dream of entrepreneurship and began opening business ventures throughout Brooklyn, New York.
In 1989, Davis and his wife moved to Orlando, Florida, and spent the rest of their lives enjoying the fruits of their labor with friends and family.
Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie, and two of his sisters, Gloria and Winifred. He is survived by his brothers, Clyde, Chester, Edward, Winston, George and Arturo, and his sister, Joyce.
He also left behind, sons, Vincent, Davis Jr. and Mark, along with fourteen grandchildren: Leonie, Jazmine, Kani, Zayan, Nathan, Jada, Noah, Destin, Jewel, Israel, Judea, Jonina, Amari, Omari, and one on the way, and two loving daughters-in-law, Joanne and Trudy. Davis left behind numerous family and friends; numerous, but not overlooked.
Davis was a man with great character and was very sociable. He loved to laugh and dance. He was eighty years old with no regrets; just good memories!
