Delma E. Eaton White

WHITE, DELMA E. born to Charles and Birdie (Brooks) Eaton in Harrison, Arkansas. Mom was 92 and known for her kind and gentle nature. We know God made a special place for Mom when he came on Sunday, October 17, 2010, to take her home. She attended college in Tahlequah, Oklahoma where she met her husband, Homer "Bob" Seth White. They were married 71 years before his death in 1998. She was an English teacher, a member and past President of American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, and son Robert M. White. Left to cherish their memories together are daughters, Patricia Sherrell of Grass Valley, CA; Gail Hess and son-in-law Milton Hess of Windermere, FL; grandchildren, Denice Stephenson, Cerise Niskanen, Monte Hess, Patti Sewell, Jud Emery, Cindy Maple, Jill Emery, Kim Stephens, Marjan Otto, Jami Ray and Josh Paul; 27 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren and many other family members and close friends who knew her as "Mom" or "Grandma." One of mom's great sayings was, "there's always room for one more, just put another potato in the pot." In lieu of flowers, donations made in her honor to Edgewood Children's Ranch or Give Kids the World will be greatly appreciated. A memorial service to celebrate Delma's life is scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL.
