I am so saddened to hear of her death. We worked together in the operating room in NJ for many years. She was such a wonderful nurse, mentor and friend. May her memory be a blessing. RIP Diana.

She always made my birthday Special and NEVER forgot it! One year after her birthday, I visited and we had a Birthday Sleep-over! She was a Wonderful Friend!

Before I moved to the Orlando area from South Florida, my first stop before I went to visit my kids was Diana's. She always had the best stories and she always was happy to see me. I will forever hold my memories of her in my heart of Hearts! Diana made me feel like Family!

Diana’s Celebration of Life Service:   I want to touch on a few attributes that made me love my sister and look up to her with admiration and pride.

1, Big Heart.  She gave a lot of love to her family and friends, and in return, received a lot of love.   She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren.  Loved to watch Emily’s tennis matches and loved to play golf with PJ.  Her time with them became even more important in her later years.   
In his recent biography, Warren Buffett reflected on what is important in life:  “I know people who have a lot of money, and they get testimonial dinners and they get hospital wings named after them. But, when you get old and nobody loves you, I don’t care how big your bank account is, your life is a disaster.   You can’t write a check for a million dollars of love.  You only get love by giving love.”
 Diana passed the Buffett test of success in life.

2. Fun Loving.  She was the life of the party at family vacations and gatherings.  She loved to celebrate holidays.  Her Christmas tree is a perfect example.  After Christmas, she kept it up in her living room to decorate for Valentine’s Day, then St. Patricks Day, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween & Thanksgiving.  There was always an occasion to celebrate.

3. Positive View of Life.  Diana always saw the glass half full (except when she was drinking wine).   Even when life threw her a curveball, she picked herself up, brushed herself off and moved forward to do good things in her life.  

4.  Authentic.  Diana did not have a phony bone in her body.  With her, “What you see is what you get.”

If she were here today, I think that she would tell us:  Don’t take life for granted.  It is too short and you want to pack in as many happy experiences as you can.

To all o f Diana's family, I want to first say how sorry I am for your loss of her and the grief you are now feeling, she will be deeply missed. Diana and I met in 1965, the 1st day of nursing school, and  when there were no empty seats,  she moved over to share her seat with me, but that was Diana. She became like a sister to me and took me home to the "burg", where I got to meet her mom, dad, Lou, aunt Pearl, Nona and all her cousins. Even though our communication has been sporadic over the past years, NO ONE could have asked for a better friend, and there is now a hole in my life where she used to be.  All our shared memories both happy and sad are gone with her, but My memories of her will always remain, and someday I'll get to share them again with her. Love you Di, Connie

I am so very sorry to hear this news. I didn’t see her often but we worked  together over 30 years ago in Saint Barnabas in  Livingston NJ. Saw her about six years ago in Florida at lunch with a group of friends. She was always so much fun and sweet and my husband and I cared for her a lot. I’m so sorry to all who loved her. She will be missed, rest in peace Diana.
