Dorothy (Dot) Young passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 20th, 2019 in Winter Springs Florida, where she resided for 44 years. She was born on November 13th, 1929 in Franklin Pennsylvania to Charles & Dorothy (Brown) Haun.
Dorothy attended school in the borough of Rocky Grove in Venango County Pennsylvania where she graduated from Rocky Grove High School. On February 13th, 1956, she married the love of her life Charles Young of Sugar Creek Pennsylvania. They spent most of their later years serving the church and loving others. Dorothy loved family and her grandchildren through her final years she spent her time going to activities they were involved in and spending as much time with them as she could. With her giving spirit and loving demeanor she touched many lives.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law Jeff & Stephanie Young and their children Jared, Hannah and Alyssa, daughter in law Deborah Hedglin and her child Teressa, grandson Jim Hedglin. Her brothers Charles Haun, Donald Haun and Robert Haun and many nieces and nephews whom she loved. She was predeceased by her loving husband Charles F Young, son Steven Hedglin, grandson John Hedglin and her sister Carolyn Haun Rutledge.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August28, 2019 at 10:00 am at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
