Eddie Joseph Fournier – passed away peacefully May 20, 2026. Eddie was born in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico, on December 16, 1930. He received his GED and joined the United States Marine Corps, later transferring to the United States Air Force. Eddie remained in Central Florida once his tours ended in 1958 at Pine Castle Air Force Base.
Eddie made his way into the construction industry, reading blueprints, driving cement trucks, and eventually moving into concrete finishing, joining unions to ensure work was done well and fairly. Eddie graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management from Jones College in 1974, which further helped him as he led his fellow union coworkers to ensure proper working conditions, fair pay and hours, and concrete projects to be proud of.
In 1957, Eddie married Mary(“Clicky”), the woman who would be by his side for the next forty-eight years. Together, they raised three daughters in the Orlando area. Eddie was proud of the family and the life they built over the 48 years he and Mary were married.
Eddie believed in servitude for God’s kingdom. In addition to contributing his time and concrete talents to construction projects throughout his life, he spent every Sunday as an usher at Calvary Assembly until shortly after Mary went to be with Jesus. His service in this capacity helped those entering the church building feel welcomed not only by God, but by those attending the church. He treated everyone as a friend at all times.
Eddie remarried two years after Mary’s passing to a wonderful woman named Graciela, who stood by his side until she passed this past February. Eddie is also preceded in death by his father, Anibal Fournier, his mother, Cecilia de Jesus, and his brother Angelo Fournier.
He is survived by his daughters, Rayven, Vi, and Angela; his brother Amilcar (Mickey); his sisters Lilliam and Doris; his eight grandchildren, their spouses, and his multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park is coordinating arrangements for the family.
Private visitation(11:30 a.m.), public visitation (12:30 p.m.), funeral service (1:30 p.m.), and committal service (3:30 p.m.) will take place Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
