

Edward Caleb "Buddy" Bridges, Jr., 88, of Orlando, Florida passed away on May 12, 2015. He was affectionately known as "Mr. Goodbuddy" to many. Buddy was the only child born to the late Edward C. Bridges and Grace Bridges on June 26, 1926 in Sarasota, Florida. Upon graduating from school, Buddy joined the Navy, where he served as an Aviation Machinist's Mate Third Class.
On May 29, 1953, Buddy married the love of his life, Amaryllis "Amy" M. Bridges. Together, they had four children, Robert Bridges, Linda (Jimmie) Weaver, Russell "Rusty" Bridges and Rebecca "Becky" (Tim) Berger and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Buddy was a member of Grace Bible Church, where he listened to his friend and preacher, Gene Pritchard, teach the Word of God.
Buddy retired from Orlando Utilities Commission in Orlando, Florida, where he was respected as an honest, hard working employee and where he made lasting friendships. Upon his death, Buddy was still enjoying the friendship of his fishing buddy, I.W. Alderman. Buddy's interests were fishing at his Cayo Costa island property, where he and his family made many lasting memories and friends and in his earlier days, horses. He bought his bride Amy, a beautiful high spirited horse named "Judy," which he rode with the Dave Starr Orange County Mounted Possee. His main interest was spending time with family and friends, all who loved an respected him immensely.
Buddy has left a huge void in our hearts, which will only be filled when we too, are with our Lord, Jesus Christ. We love and miss you and are so blessed to be a part of your life.
