Edward "Ed" N. Tudor, Sr., 77, of Ocoee, FL., passed away peacefully in his home on June 20, 2016, with family and loved ones nearby. Ed was born in Richmond, Kentucky to Nay and Frances (nee Whicker) Tudor. Ed moved to Florida in 1956. He then joined the U.S. Army, serving in the 5th Infantry Division. Upon discharge from the Army, Ed returned to Florida and set out on a series of business ventures in the Ocoee and Winter Garden communities. Ed was the longtime owner and operator of Ocoee Bicycle Shop in downtown Ocoee, where he sold and repaired bicycles and lawnmowers. In 1997, after decades of running a successful business, Ed considered semi-retirement. However, he decided fixing bicycles was still in his blood and decided to open a small bike shop in downtown Winter Garden. West Orange Bike allowed Ed to continue his passion of working on bicycles and also allowed him the great opportunity to make countless friends in the community, both customers and fellow business owners, whom he loved to commiserate with. Ed was a devoted member of his beloved church, Faith Family Community Church in Winter Garden. Ed was an avid golfer and fisherman, as well as a classic car enthusiast. Ed had a thousand lifetime's worth of friends and loved ones whom filled his life with joy. Ed is survived by his daughter, Debra "Debbie" Boxell and son, Edward "Eddie" Jr., both of Orlando; grandchildren, Brittany Davis, Kendall Tudor, Lucas Tudor, Karissa Tudor, Seth Tudor, and Van Tudor, and brother Michael Tudor of Winter Park. Ed is preceded in death by his son Donald, brothers, Robert and Donald Lee and sister Beverly Ann (Rodney) Benefield.
The family would like to thank Cornerstone Hospice for their support and care.
