She was born in Bemidji, Minnesota on April 16, 1926 to the late Frank & Mabel (Revoir) Schummer.
Eleanor graduated from Northern High School, and married her beloved Francis Ruzicka on August 14, 1965. She worked as a high level executive administrative assistant at General Motors, and retired early to Florida.
Eleanor was the quintessential grandmother, always seeing the good in everyone and every situation. She cherished her dear family, made a legendary chocolate pie and always had tissues and Certs in her purse for anyone who needed them. Eleanor was a competitive bowler, golfer and euchre player; and, in-between times, you might find her watching Westerns, her favorite game shows, or dancing with her Sweetheart. She loved to watch the birds at the birdfeeder, especially the cardinals.
She is already missed so dearly…
Eleanor was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ashley Edwards.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Francis Ruzicka; daughter, Roxanne Edwards (Stephen Edwards); grandchildren, Stephen Edwards (Annie Edwards) and Alexis Edwards (Brouklyn Burke); great-granddaughter, Harper Edwards; and siblings, Lucille Weiblen, Donald Schummer and Richard Schummer.
