Garth Liscombe Ranger

Garth Ranger was born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies on October 25, 1967 to Olgan and Lovina Ranger. His parents immigrated to the United States when Garth was a toddler, eventually settling in New York where Garth would be raised. He was the youngest child of his parents and was dearly beloved and showered with affection. Garth was a happy child who possessed an infectious smile and heart of gold! He was caring, kind and soft spoken to everyone with whom he interacted, qualities that would remain with him through his life.

Garth attended elementary and middle school in Jamaica, New York and graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in Poughkeepsie, New York. He joined the United States Army Reserved Services shortly after completing high school. He was immensely proud of his service and cherished this to the end.

He received training in Food Services, a vocation that would become a passion of his. Garth was employed in the food services industry for much of his career. He was diligent and took pride in his work and service to others.

Garth's memory will be forever cherished by his loving mother, Lovina Ranger; sisters Paulette Menzie (husband Wilbert Menzie), Mitchele Ranger, Paulette Morgan (husband Albert Morgan); brothers Donovan Baldie (wife Janice Baldie), Ivor King and Oral Ranger; nieces Melissa, Rachel, Gabriell, Akisha, Renesha and Zoharah; nephews Ian, Ryan, Collin, Richard, Garrett, Jamel and Tristan; aunt Lorna Ranger-Johnson (husband Dr. Maurice Johnson): uncles Berris and Keith Ranger; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Sleep on Garth. Take your rest. We loved you, but God loved you best.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. A visitation will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:30 am with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 12:00 pm. Garth's committal will follow at 2:00 pm.
