She was born January 30, 1946 in Annapolis, Maryland to the late Elmer & Margaret (Steele) Wolf.
Her beloved husband, Dennis A. Ickes, saw Georgette for the first time wearing a green dress at a mutual friend's home for a party when they were both in high school. They both loved to dance, and appeared on The Buddy Deane Show dancing together numerous times. Their love song is "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" and they have been married 57 years this June 30th.
Georgette & Dennis raised a beautiful family together, and she was a diligent Avon saleswoman for 25 years. A fashionista and a collector of fine dolls, Georgette filled their home with beauty. She loved to read and to travel all around the world from Greece to Egypt to Austria and many more amazing destinations...and, while she was home, she and Dennis rescued all the stray kitty cats they could, numbering up to 25!
A faithful, strong woman, Georgette will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents & son, Dennis Ickes, Jr.
Georgette is survived by her dear husband Dennis, daughter Tammy Lynn Singh (Anthony), daughter-in-law, Christy F. Ickes, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and, brother, Sonny Wolf.
