Gertrude Zampella

Zampella, Gertrude Ann “Gram” passed away at home on Saturday 8/13/11 at the age of 90. Born in Germany on 1/17/21, she moved to the United States with her family at the age of 3. Gertrude was raised in New Jersey where she started her family before moving to Orlando in 1958. After a brief move (1984 to 1989) to Palm Bay, she moved to Ocoee in 1989 to live with her youngest daughter, Shirley, and her family; and continued to reside there until her death. She was a long time member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Winter Garden. Gertrude is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Joseph Zampella, son, John Allan Zampella, brother, Leonard Wolf and sister Antonia Blado. She is survived by her sister Marion Behlau of Texas, daughters Barbra Lee Drucker of Palm Bay and Shirley Ann Scott of Ocoee, sons David Bruce Zampella of Orlando, and Roger William (Billy) and James Robert (Jim) Zampella of Palm Bay; Grandchildren, Jackie Nagy of Palm Bay, David and Joseph Scott of Ocoee, Zachary, Jacob and Sarah Zampella of Orlando and many, many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by all her wonderful friends, neighbors, and children who loving knew her as “Gram”. Services will be at 3:00 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Winter Garden followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery at 4:00
