My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Glenn was a wonderful friend who will be missed by so many. Glenn was so much fun his smile would light up any room. Glenn and Viv were so good to me when we lost Tom.  I know your with Tom looking over all your loved ones.  I will forever treasure our friendship. God has another beautiful Angel.

In reading all the wonderful memories that people shared – you and I can only come to one conclusion about Glenn Taggart; he was an outstanding human being and he will be dearly missed by those who knew him.  

When I think about attributes I would use to describe Glenn, I think about authenticity, consistency, but most importantly to me, warmth and kindness. We are grateful and fortunate for the many excellent years of public service he willingly provided to our citizens and customers, while conversely saddened by his brief retirement he so diligently earned each and every day for 31 years.      

I remember having a heart to heart conversation with Glenn a few years ago when our Orange County family unfortunately lost another wonderful human being, also sudden and way too soon. Glenn and I shared our collective pain for the loss of our friend and co-worker, and our shared belief that in our earthly pursuits, tomorrow is promised to no one.

I was so very sorry to hear of Glenn’s passing. I still remember the day I brought my bird, Patrick,  over to your house and Glenn helped clip his wings. I remember seeing the beautiful pictures he painted and was so impressed by his talent. May he Rest In Peace.

I met Glen at Orange County Utilities over 20 years ago.  He was a valuable asset to his employer and his contribution to utilities ‘ warehouse management and best practices will forever be recognized.  Glen and I shared many memorable experiences both challenging and pleasurable ones.  He was genuine and personable, a joy to be around. He loved his wife and spending time with family. Glen will be missed, but never forgotten.  Rest In Peace my brother by another mother.  💝

I don't remember the first time i met Glenn, but I do know he was always nice to me, shared a big ole grin with me, and was happy to see me. When I had a chance to take a friend to visit Rob in New Orleans, Glenn was there too. The four of us had the best time we shared good drinks, good food, smiles and laughter. It was a rushed and busy day together, but i hope he remembered it fondly. I know I do.

We have known Glenn, his parents, brother and sister over 30 years.  A loss to a wonderful family.  Our condolences go out to you all.

Condolences to Glenn’s family during this difficult time.  I enjoyed working with him prior to his retirement from Orange County Utilities. He always had a smile and story to share while taking pride in his job and leading his team. His fish fry dish at the annual holiday luncheon was legendary.  Glenn was one-of-a-kind and made the world brighter. Thinking of you all!

I only knew Glenn for 5 years after coming to the Utilities Department but, it seemed like several years. He always updated me about his family.  He smiled when talking about his grandchildren and going fishing with his brother.  He was a personable coworker and always eager to help anyone out. He will truly be missed and I hope Vivian and his whole family finds comfort in knowing that he touched so many people. 

Glenn was a gem of a human being. He was so nice and kind to every single person he met. The way he carried himself and lived his life made his personality/character inspirational. Such contagious energy, such a generous soul, such a hard-worker, such a fighter, and such an amazing example of how life should be lived - he had many loved ones and I’m glad we can honor him and cherish the memories that we all made with him. Until we meet again, Glenn. Love you sir.

A truly good man to the core. I'm honored to be a part of his life, he always made everyone laugh and would do anything to help a fellow friend in need. A genuine individual with class, he will be deeply missed by many. Sending love and thoughts to the family. 

My condolences to the entire family.  Glenn was such a wonderful person.  His kindness and humor made everyone love him.  I only had a short time to get to call him "friend" but my life has been made better because Glenn was part of it.

I had the pleasure of meeting Glenn a few years ago at a co-worker's wedding.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and we got along quite well during the reception.  As a joke he and I took a picture together in front of the wedding cake.  I still have that picture on my old phone.  Vivienne, you are in my thoughts and prayers. What a sad day to hear of Glenn’s passing. Much too young.

I had the pleasure of working with Glenn during most of his career with Orange County. His strong work ethic, exceptional competence, and positive attitude earned him the admiration and respect of everyone he worked with, colleagues, customers and vendors alike. He was the consummate professional who always brought his best. Most importantly, Glenn was a great person and a genuinely nice guy. 

My heart goes out to Vivienne and all of Glenn’s family. I Know how much he’ll be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Remembering the good times will always be in my thoughts. Glenn, Bobby, and I worked in the same  room together as Supply Expeditors. There was never a dull moment. Right from the start of the day to finish. We laughed a lot and picked on each other. This seemed to make the day go by faster. I think this is what bonded us together. I met Glenn 33 years ago when he started with Orange County Government when he worked in the Warehouse. That is when our fishing together started.  He would drive to my home in Casselberry and I always had biscuits and gravy ready for him. We loaded my boat in the back of Glenn's Chevy S-10 pickup. Next stop was the bait shop for 10 dozen minnows which many times we ran out.  We always hit the Casselberry  lakes at sunup. We would talk all day. Everything from pass to present. Did we catch fish? Yes every time we went out. We caught over 4,000 Crappies in the ten years we fished together.  I moved to  Kissimmee in 2007 I  hoped we would still go fishing, but the distance between use made it difficult.  It seemed like our schedules crossed and with my new home new  wife. There was always something going on.   I have many working memories with Glenn, some great and some bad since he was my boss, but we always worked things out. Glenn was a dear friend and my support when my second wife had cancer and passed in 2007.  I wish I could have been there for him when he needed me most. I never knew until just recently his health was failing so badly.  I wish I could attend his service today, but due to underlining circumstances I cannot. I will always remember the good times forever. I know Glenn's in heaven fishing. Good Luck. Terry Mau 

We have been friends with Glenn & Vivienne for many years and they hold a special place in our hearts. Glenn was a great man and like a brother to me. I remember all the times we spent together just hanging out, going to concerts and fishing. I will always cherish those memories and the time we spent working together at OC Utilities. I met Glenn and Vivienne about 17 years ago through a network of friends that all worked at Orange County.   Up until that point, I only knew the 'Work Glenn' as I used to call him when we communicated about work matters.  Then there was the Glenn that everyone knew and loved.  I have fond memories of the Halloween costume parties, the several get togethers and card game nights.   Glenn never met a stranger and he was usually the life of the party.  It is hard to accept his departure from us, but he did leave his mark on life.  We will cherish all of the fond memories that impacted most everyone that knew him.  Love to his family. I've been blessed to to call Glenn and Vivienne close friends for 25+ years. I was blessed to work with and along side them, and blessed to gain friendships that spilled over into our personal life's. Game nights were and will always be cherished memories with these friends. NEVER will there be finer people walking this earth. Her loss breaks our hearts. May their greatness remind us to be kinder to one another. May we always strive to leave the memories that Glenn and Vivienne left with us- and may Vivienne and family find miraculous solace at a time where it is almost impossible. Glenn worked for the Orange County Utilities Department in the Fiscal &amp; Administrative Support Division for over 31 years until his retirement. He will be remembered as a dedicated coworker and dear friend.


Glenn was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed cooking, painting, gardening, and being outdoors.


He was a loving husband, son, father, grandpa, brother, and uncle. He was well liked by all who knew him.
