Grace Schaus Kirkwood went to be with our Lord God late Wednesday afternoon on December 26, 2012 at age 96 and a half. She and Mr. Kirkwood (deceased) resided in East Orange County. Formerly "Gracie" Simms she was a long term East Orange resident. With "Simms" they were one of the early settlers of "Golden Acres" located east of Conway. She worked as a "Drug Store Lunch Counter Waitress" in Orlando at several different locations. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 4, 1916 she frequently called herself a "Firecracker" and self-admitted she could be.Being the cornerstone of a "Blood Line" of five generations she leaves behind one son, Donald (Marilyn) Schaus, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. There will be a memorial visitation on January 12, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Conway First Baptist Church followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Woodlawn Funeral Home is in entrusted to arrangements.
