He was born in Prospect Port Antonio, Jamaica West Indies on October 24, 1952. Hewrich attended Titchfield High School in Port Antonio, Jamaica and after emigrating to NYC he graduated from Eastern District High School in Brooklyn, NY. Hewrich attended some college at Brooklyn College in New York.
He was married to Evadne Edwards on September 14, 1974 for 25 years.
Hewrich had a career in Communications as an installer for Verizon. He was a member CAALC (Caribbean American Association of Lake County), and had a passion for music, singing, watching sports, traveling, and cooking.
He was survived by children Dwayne, Kalisha, Jennifer, grandchildren Tatumn and Kassidy, mother Maisie Edwards, brothers Orville and Alvin, sisters Winsome, Marcia, Ann, Jascinth, an aunt and uncle, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am, September 24, 2020 at Woodlawn Memorial Funeral Home.
