Hilda Lucia Gomez

She was born in Cali, Colombia on March 13, 1939. She graduated from La Sagrada Familia School in Cali.

She was married to Fabio Gomez from 1966 to 2013.

Hilda worked as a secretary for 7 years in Cali and as a Publix cashier in Florida for 21 years, retiring in 1997.

She had a passion for travel, knitting, cross-stitching, crocheting, and watching futbol, especially when her favorite teams, La Seleccion de Brasil and El Deportivo Cali, were playing.

Hilda is survived by her children, Fabian Gomez, Martha Gomez and her husband, Scott Brown, Gloria Rogers and husband, Don and Sydney Gomez and wife, Kirsty; grandchildren, Stephanie Milfeld and husband, Patrick, DJ Rogers, Bracher Brown and wife, Kate Kopystanski, Tiana Gomez, Rachael Gomez, Berkeley Brown and Ryan Gomez; great grandchildren, Zoe Milfeld and Quinn Milfeld; her Siblings, Judy Donnelly and husband, Tom, Mireya Gil, Doris Bennett, and Joe Caicedo, sister in law, Edith Caicedo, and fifteen nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Judith Caicedo and her siblings, Henry Caicedo and Ernesto Caicedo, and brother-in-law, Jack Bennett.

A visitation for Hilda will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 2750 E Osceola Pkwy, Kissimmee, FL 34743. A committal service will occur Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734.
