Hugh Reno Johnston was born on May 16th, 1929 in Greeneville, Tennessee. He was the youngest of four children, including two older brothers and an older sister. Hugh Johnston died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, including his surviving brother, Ralph Johnston and nephew Ralph Johnston Jr. of Greenville, Tennessee; his beloved daughter Carla Bristol whom he was so proud of along with his son-in-law Richard Bristol of Orlando, Florida; his special granddaughters Amanda Bristol and Sara Bristol who were so very precious to him; and his cherished, life-long friend Linda Collins. He was also loved and treasured by his extended family and closest friends. Hugh R. Johnston was a proud member of the United States Navy while residing in his hometown of Greeneville, Tennessee where he was born and raised. He then moved to Orlando with his cherished wife Imogene Johnston, where he worked and retired from the City of Orlando. His life and love will be forever remembered and cherished. He will always be thought of as a wonderful storyteller, the life of the party, a dedicated husband, a devoted father, and the world’s best “Papaw.” The world was blessed by such a wonderful man who lived a full and beautiful life of hard work, much laughter, and immense love. We know he is now at peace in Heaven with the Lord and reunited with his beautiful wife.
