Humberto Bedoya

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Humberto Bedoya, father of Reverend Carlos M. Bedoya, pastor of St. Clare Catholic Church in Deltona, Florida. Mr. Bedoya was 78 years old and passed away on March 8, 21015 at his home in Orlando, Florida. Humberto was born on April13, 1936 in Medellin, Colombia to the late Pedro Luis and Fidelina (Montoya) Bedoya. He was married to Nidya (Ester) Bedoya for 58 years. Mr. Bedoya was a sewing machine mechanic and also served as a banquet and kitchen assistant for the Rosen Center until his retirement in September 2013.

Mr. Bedoya is preceded in death by his two sons, Victor and Wilder Bedoya. He is survived by his wife, Nidya; sons, Fr. Carlos Bedoya, Giovanni Bedoya and Luis Bedoya; daughters, Marina Torres, Nora Garcia, Martha Veloso, Adriana Tejada and Aleida Resterepo; brothers, Oscar and Jorge Bedoya; sisters, Ruth Zapata, Silvia Bedoya, Nidia Bustamente and Estella Quintero; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A Wake will be held on Tuesday, March 10 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at St. Clare Catholic Church, 2961 Day Road, Deltona. A Vigil Service will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 11 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clare Catholic Church. The burial will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, FL at 1:00 p.m. behind the Life of Christ Mosaic.
