

Jean Rose Darcel of Orlando, FL passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, July 23rd at the age of 88. Jean was born in Union City, NJ on June 21,1930 to Anthony and Yolanda Gullace, married to Alfonse Darcel in 1952, and relocated to Orlando in 1957. Jean was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and aunt, a passionate Italian cook, an avid storyteller, a devout Catholic who served her church community, and one whose home was open to all. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Frank Gullace, and her husband of 45 years. Jean is survived by her children: Darlene Darcel, Yolanda Helle, Pamela Lloyd, Tami Darcel, Mary Ann Koula, and Todd Darcel, as well as her sisters, Eleanor Mosler and Ida Roman. Jean is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Monday, July 30th at 10am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church located at 6200 S. Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, FL. All who knew and loved Jean are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association or Morningstar Catholic School (Orlando) in memory of Jean.
