Jean will be missed by my daughter and myself.  We lived next door to her and Bill. We became close friends and always enjoyed our time with her and Bill! Jean was an amazing woman who had a heart of gold and always fun to be with! She helped me through a very terrible time in my life. I could go to her and tell her anything and she was always there for me! I think of her a lot! I miss her although I know she is cancer free and happy! I will see her someday in Heaven!

Dear Jean,
Sebastian and I met you 46 years ago at The Good Shephard Lutheran church in Roosevelt, Long Island, New York. I was holding my newborn baby, Janelle, with my toddler Vanessa by my side.  I'll never forget the way your eyes lit up; you fell in love with my girls instantly. It was Pastor Trexler who introduced us, asking you to watch over me a young housewife with two young children.  You, along with Sylvia and Doris, embraced this Yankee girl and introduced us to your friends and family. After a while Sebastian became seriously ill, yet you never stopped caring for all of us and I adore you for that.
I will never forget your infectious laugh and your warm smile. Our countless conversations and the way you kept things in your "files" for remembrance's sake. You were my greatest encourager. I'll always remember the things you taught me, like island cooking and the many sayings we shared, especially "presentation is key." You had a flair all your own, a unique style I so deeply admired.
I'll miss our spirited debates about politics and doing the right thing. You always set the bar high. Most of all, I'll miss our strong bond, a sisterhood that can never be replaced. Not now, not ever. Our friendship and sisterhood are bonded by the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
You are gone, but you will never be forgotten, I will see you again on the other side, until then rest well in the loving arms of our Savior Jesus Christ my dear friend Jean.

To Bill and all the entire family, these words of comfort are  very difficult to say. Of all the things we have in life, having Jean as a "friend" was one of the greatest gift of all to us. She leaves footprints of love, kindness, courage, compassion, humor, joy and faith as examples of how we should live our lives. For us, especially for me(Pansy), she will never be forgotten because she was like family. She will be missed and always feel very dear to our hearts, so take comfort in knowing that our thoughts, prayers and sympathy are with all of you at this difficult time.
