He was born in Bombay, India on March 30, 1924 to the late Bapooji & Tehmina Sarkari.
Jimi graduated from the Parsi Boys High School - Karachi, and received a Business Commerce degree from the University of Bombay. He met and fell in love with his bride, Hutokshi, whom he married on November 23, 1954.
Jimi excelled in his field of Certified Accounting where he served in many companies in both India and England. He and Hutokshi emigrated to the United Kingdom in 1958, making a home there for themselves and their three children. In 1989, they journeyed to the USA and enjoyed retirement there together. Jimi volunteered for ten years comforting residents of Solaris Nursing Home, well into his nineties! He always had a story to tell, and his love for others caused them to love him dearly in return.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hutokshi; his dear parents; and his sister, Villoo Mehta.
Jimi is survived by his children, Arnavaz, Firdosh, and Keshmira; grandchildren, Christopher, Darius and Cyrus, Anna and James; and great grandchildren, Carson, Madelyn and Jack, Stephen, Henry, Amelia and Louise, Cyra, Ariya and Zackai.
