

Juan Bautista Perez, of Winter Garden, Florida, passed away on January 22, 2024. Born on October 26, 1939, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Don Juanchi was the youngest child of Consuelo Perez and José Perez. As the youngest among five siblings, he held a special place in his family's heart. Though it saddens us to acknowledge that except for Tomas Pérez, all his siblings have also passed away, we recognize that their spirits now join Juanchi's in eternal peace.
Don Juanchi was fortunate enough to find love early on in life when he met Farailda. Their union lasted an incredible 58 years and together they were blessed with four children - Patricia Pichardo, Juan Thomas Perez, Leticia Carrasco, and Juan Carlos Pérez. As parents, Juanchi and Farailda embodied supportiveness, responsiveness, and served as exemplary role models for their children.
One cannot speak of Don Juanchi without acknowledging his best qualities. He possessed an innate generosity that radiated from him in all aspects of life. His positive outlook on life was infectious; he could light up any room with his contagious smile and warm spirit. Known for his light-hearted humor and outgoing nature, Don Juanchi made friends easily wherever he went. He also was the best singer in the family.
Since early in life he was an innate entrepreneur founding different businesses and culminating in a successful enterprise in the field of security. His dedication and hard work led him to found one of the first and largest security companies in Dom Republic. He immigrated from the Dominican Republic to the United States at the late age of 79, seeking to spend his semi-retired years with his family.
Throughout his life, Don Juanchi demonstrated a commitment to serving others. For many years, he was a proud member of the Rotary Club, actively engaging in projects that aimed to uplift his community and inspire positive change. His unwavering faith in God led him to embrace the Catholic faith, finding solace and strength within its teachings.
Friendship held a special place in Don Juanchi's heart. His friendships were marked by open communication, a shared sense of humor, and unwavering dependability. Those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend knew they had someone they could always count on.
As an adult, Don Juanchi found great joy in reading and traveling. He thirsted for knowledge and sought understanding from the pages of books. Traveling allowed him to experience new cultures, creating lasting memories with his loved ones along the way.
Today, as we bid farewell to Juan Bautista Perez (Don Juanchi) , let us not dwell on the sadness of his departure but instead focus on celebrating the beautiful life he lived. Let us honor his memory by embracing his generosity, positivity, humor, and outgoing nature. May we strive to emulate his commitment to family, education, service, friendship, and personal growth.
Don Juanchi's presence will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. But as we gather here today, let us remember that love transcends physical boundaries and that his spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

A visitation for Juan will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
