Katrina Ann Ruiz

Born to the late Donald & Betty Gephart in Fort Walton Beach, Florida on September 4th, 1961.

Katrina’s beloved family and friends know her as honest, and the best friend anyone could ever have…

Katrina met the love of her life, Mike, in Mississippi while he was serving in the Air Force; and, they have supported each other through many adventures throughout the past 32 years... They have lived in Alaska, Oklahoma, New Jersey, and since 2002, our own Orlando.

Katrina worked in many areas, but what she loved most was being a pediatric nurse. She also spent time as an accountant, a private investigator, and even a bagel maker. Blueberry was her favorite!

But, if Katrina was passionate about anything, it was her two cherished teenage children, Katherine & Michael. Katrina devoted her life to them, supporting them through every volunteer opportunity she could take on! She was known as a Helper to all – someone who could be invited and counted on to be there for her community. She loved to research, so whenever anybody had a need or a question, she was there with her resources and her love. Katrina will be deeply and dearly missed by many ~

She is survived by her beloved husband & children, her sister Rebecca Gephart and her adoring extended family.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 7th, 2015 at 3:30pm at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando, Florida, in the Main Chapel, officiated by Father Justin Vakko. The Ruiz family cordially invites you to a reception at their home directly following the service: 3739 Winding Lake Circle, Orlando.
